OC Medical Group Event
Calling all OC’s in the medical, dental and associated professions (including vetinarians, physiotherapists, psychologists and psychiatrists) and OC's interested in entering those professions.
There have been several recent enquiries as to whether there would be interest in an OC Medical Section Event. It would aim to reunite old friends and fellow professionals, and would provide an opportunity for senior medics to share their wisdom and experience. We have the opportunity to host an evening event at the Royal College of Surgeons, situated in Lincoln’s Inn Fields, London. The evening could include a few short presentations followed by a tour of the college and the Hunterian Museum which is housed within the college. Arrangements for the evening are being made in co-operation with an OC who is a Senior Fellow of the College.

Daniel Hope presents Saturday Classics on BBC Radio 3
Violinist Daniel Hope (EG 1986) has given his two programmes for Saturday Classics the subtitle, a "Fiddler's Tale". In these two hour radio documentaries he offers a selection of recordings that reflect his life in music so far; and also which follow the story of his priceless violin - the wonderful 1742 Guarneri del Gesu, known as the "Ex-Lipiński". Steve Szemerenyi OBE 1942 - 2012
We are very sorry to announce that Steve Szemerenyi OBE, Housemaster of Fargate 1972-74 and The Lodge 1974-80, died on New Years Day. Highgate School intends to commemorate Stephen’s enormous contribution to the school, and we hope that you will be able to join us in doing so. We will be talking to the family about how they would like his memory to be celebrated and perpetuated, and we will share our ideas with you and all his former pupils.
Regional Reunions
The Foundation Office is holding a series of informal get-togethers for Cholmeleians in the regions, to find out more about what you want from the Society, and also to catch up with your career and family news, as well as bringing you the latest news from the School. These events are not aimed at any particular age group or era, but anyone of any age who lives in the area is very welcome to come, and we will be delighted if you can join us!
